Hello!
I am a California-based Graphic Designer, currently looking for part-time and contract work; especially working remotely, but open to working on-site when the job requires it.
I've acquired many interests and skillsets over the last 20+ years. I especially love print design, and focus on ways to organize information and decorate items for everyday life.
Until the Covid pandemic hit, I worked as the Creative Director for an in-house design team in the housewares industry. As it often is in small companies, I learned to wear many hats, including product and package development, photography, brand identity, surface design, as well as sales support in the form of program presentations and trade show materials.
I have a small letterpress shop, which all started with my great-grandfather's Chandler & Price platen press. Learning how to use the press and connecting with the printmaking community has been incredibly enriching, and I am so grateful to have met printers all over the world whom I can call my friends and teachers. From a design perspective, it's been invaluable to learn how to plan my design work for the press, and how to anticipate production challenges. Lately I have been making posters and cards, and am slowly building out my Etsy shop, Offshoot Works.
Why Offshoot Works? Because I love learning and creating with a ton of different methods and materials, and I need room to continue to grow. Because my printshop is an offshoot of my family printing tree that started 4 generations ago. Because I am a gardener and propagator.
Because it suits me.
Because it suits me.
Like many humans who evaluated how we were living prior to 2020, I now aim to work well and live well. To get the job done, and incorporate time to stay inspired and energized. To support my home, health, community, and all creative endeavors.
Send me a note to say hello and inquire about working together!
Thank you!
